Andrew K. Morozov, Ph.D., M.B.A., Amhurst's President and Managing Director, has twenty years of experience in the fields of technology and private equity investing. Prior to forming Amhurst, Dr Morozov was a principal at TL Ventures, Inc., a Philadelphia-based private equity firm with approximately $1.4B in assets, where he completed 15 investment transactions. Prior to becoming a venture capitalist, Dr. Morozov served as a Vice-President at Gartner, Inc. one of the world’s largest and most highly regarded technology consulting firms. Earlier in his career, he served as a Senior Manager at IBM and Senior Consultant and Project Manager for Fuji Economics Group, Japan ’s leading Japanese market research and consulting firm. Dr. Morozov’s career began in Russia where he worked as a research scientist and a technology entrepreneur. Dr. Morozov holds several advanced academic degrees including Master’s and Ph.D. degrees in Physics from the Moscow Institute of Technology and Physics, and an MBA in Finance from the University of Pennsylvania ’s Wharton School of Business. Dr. Morozov is fluent in English and Russian. Ryan P. Kluft, Amhurst's Managing Director, has more than 7 years of experience in venture capital and private equity investing with a focus on the information technology sector. Before joining Dr. Morozov at Amhurst, Mr. Kluft was a founding member of Symphony Technology Group, a Silicon Valley-based private equity firm which managed $250 million in private equity investments, focused exclusively on information technology. Before joining Symphony, Mr. Kluft was a senior investment professional at General Atlantic Partners, the world’s largest specialized private equity firm focused exclusively on growth equity and buyout investing in the technology sector. In addition to his private equity investment experience, Mr. Kluft has extensive background researching and analyzing technology marketplace. Prior to joining General Atlantic Partners, Mr. Kluft served as a Director of Research at Gartner, Inc.’s subsidiary which supported Gartner clients in their information technology product acquisition decision-making process. Mr. Kluft holds a degree in International Politics from Georgetown University ’s Walsh School of Foreign Service and a Certificate from the Landegger Program in International Business Development. He currently serves as the Treasurer and a Board Member of the Taproot Foundation in San Francisco . In addition to serving as a consultant to clients located throughout Europe and South America , he has recently initiated and overseen multiple investment transactions in India . Mr. Kluft is fluent in both Spanish and English. Jeremy J. Grigg, Amhurst’s Managing Director, serves as the firm ’s Chief Financial and Operating Officer. Mr. Grigg’s has an extensive background and experience in the global financial markets as well as in information technology and telecommunications sectors. Mr. Grigg previously held the position of Global Director of Financial Management of Information Technology at Gartner, Inc. Earlier in his career, Mr. Grigg served as the Chief Financial Officer of a privately-held Indonesia-based information technology and telecommunications outsourcing and systems integration firm. He was also a founding partner of an Australia-based privately-held new media firm which servicing Australian and Asian telecommunications industry. Mr. Grigg has also served as the Derivative Products Manager for a privately held insurance company based in Hong Kong , and as an Executive Director of an Australia- based privately held Trust Company. During the early 1990’s. Mr. Grigg served as an Economic Advisor to the Australian Shadow Ministers for Finance and Land Transport, and as a private Secretary to the Australian Capital Territory , Minister for Health, Education, and Arts. Mr. Grigg holds a Bachelor of Economics Degree from Australian National University and a Certificate in Financial Markets from the Securities Institute of Australia . He was a registered trader with the Hong Kong Futures Exchange and also serves as a fellow of the Australian Institute of Company Directors. Mr. Grigg is fluent in English and Indonesian. |
